THIRD ANNUAL Huge Used Book Sale | June 27, 2026 | 11 am-9 pm

Hive Center for the Book Arts is delighted to announce that their THIRD annual Huge Used Book Sale will take place on June 27, 2026, during the Main Street Fair.

Last year’s Huge Used Book Sale, also held during the Main Street Fair, raised $3000 to support Hive’s mission—building community through the book arts. This year, the goal is to double that amount raised, all through selling donated books, priced at $1-$20. 

Thanks to the generosity of our Evanston community, thousands of used books made their way to Hive’s print studio in the past week, where diligent volunteers sorted and stacked, in preparation for June 27’s sale.

Ann Hudson, Hive’s Director of Education, credits Evanston’s literary population with the diversity and variety of books that were donated for this year’s sale. “We have an astonishing collection of books—tons of fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, travel books, YA books, children’s books, music books, mysteries, plays, poetry, coffee table and art books ... .almost anything you can imagine.” She added that teachers can purchase books for 50% off, whether they are shopping for their classrooms or for themselves.
